The University of South Australia's Kaurna Building, which houses the Louis Laybourne Smith School of Architecture and Design, won the coveted Sir Zelman Cowan Award, the nation's highest accolade for a public building, at the Royal Australian Institute of Architects National Architecture Awards in Brisbane, October 2006.
